A family firm with 25+ years in wire and cable, manufacturing in two of its own units in Shahdara and Bawana under two brands: Green Light and Green Channel.
From winding wire to cable
S.K.M. Wire Industries has worked in wire and cable for more than 25 years from Friends Colony Industrial Area in Shahdara, Delhi. The firm made its name under the Green Channel brand, supplying super enamelled copper winding wire to fan and heating element manufacturers, a trade where the buyer knows exactly what they are buying and notices immediately when a supplier cuts a corner.
Green Light is the firm's cable brand. The same buyers who took our winding wire kept asking for the cable and leads going into the same products, so we began supplying them: multicore and submersible cable, appliance leads with two-pin and three-pin tops, flat cable, cotton-braided press cord, and more recently solar earthing wire.
We manufacture in two of our own units: one in Friends Colony Industrial Area, Shahdara and one in Sector 1, E Block, Bawana. Both are production units, not storage, and we hold BIS certification for what we make.
Twenty-five years in one trade also builds a network. Over that time we have built working connections with manufacturers, suppliers and buyers across North India, and that reach is a large part of what we bring to a customer today.
It remains a family business. The people whose names are on the card are the people who answer the phone.
